Nina Sky is a musical duo composed of identical twins Nicole Albino and Natalie Albino, both born on March 13, 1984 in Queens, New York. The Albion sisters were exposed to a diverse sample of music from their father who worked as a DJ. The twins' parents encouraged their daughters’ musical endeavors by providing guitar and drums lessons when the sisters were in their teens.

2004 marked a meeting between the Albino sisters and the hip-hop DJ Cipha Sounds, which lead to Nina Sky writing the hit single, “Move Ya Body,” which showcased a Caribbean, R&B, and pop sound. The single peaked at #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart, and as a result of its success, the twins were signed to Next Plateau Entertainment (a division of Universal Records) and immediately began work on their self-titled debut album. The album, released in 2004, reached #44 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart. It featured the singles, “Move Ya Body” and “Turnin’ Me On.”

2007 saw Nina Sky leave Universal and sign with Polo Grounds/J Records. That same year saw the duo back in the studio working on their second album, “Starting Today.” Shortly thereafter they fell into a battle with their record company, Polo Grounds Records, over the release of “Starting Today.” The record has not been released. They independently released the EP, “The Other Side,” in 2010. It featured contributions from DJ Yonny, Salaam Remi, and Kidz in the Hall.

Nina Sky’s second full-length album, “Nicole and Natalie,” arrived in 2012 with the lead single titled, “Day Dreaming.” That same year saw Nina Sky perform at the OUT/LOUD Queer Women's Music Festival in Eugene, Oregon alongside Krudas Cubensi, Tender Forever and Andrea Gibson.
