Shenandoah are a country music group from Alabama who came together in 1984 when lead vocalist Marty Raybon, guitarist Ralph Ezell, keyboardist Stan Thorn, guitarist Jim Seales, and drummer Mike McGuire decided to start a band. Thorn and Ezell left the band in the mid-1990s and were replaced by Rocky Thacker and Stan Munsey. The band split up in 1997 after Raybon left and reformed in 2000 with Seals, Munsey and McGuire. Brent Lamb was recruited as the lead singer, however his stint was short and he was replaced by Curtis Wright and then by Jimmy Yeary.
