Urban rockers Ozomatli have landed a Fullbright-Hays grant from the US State Department to tour India and Nepal as ambassadors. The three-time Grammy Award winners will represent America as Cultural Ambassadors on a trip through the sub-continent later this month.

Sitar legend Ravi Shankar is recovering in a San Diego, California, hospital after being admitted last week suffering from pneumonia. The 86-year-old Indian musician, who is the father of jazz singer Norah Jones, is in a stable condition and will be discharged soon, according to his spokesperson.

Singer/songwriter Norah Jones is set to make her Hollywood breakthrough - in a film by acclaimed Hong Kong director Wong Kar Wai. Working under the title of My Blueberry Nights, the film will be Wong's first English language film.
