Reggae star Shaggy will not be able to fulfill his role as co-host at London's Music Of Black Origin Awards on Wednesday - because event organizers have failed to arrange his work visa, according to reports.

The Jamaican singer is due to present the ceremony with British pop star Jamelia at the capital's O2 Arena, but his appearance has been thrown into jeopardy after organizers messed up his visa application.

Shaggy's House Survives Hurricane Dean

Reggae star Shaggy is relieved his Jamaican home survived the onslaught of Hurricane Dean. The storm is the ninth most intense Atlantic hurricane ever recorded - and Shaggy admits his house had a close call when the storm passed just south of Jamaica earlier this week.

Speaking at the Mobo Nominations Launch on Wednesday in London, he says, "My house in Jamaica is fine, with my 11 dogs and my daughter. We've lost a couple of limbs from my trees, but that's all."
