CD Review: Sevendust - 'Time Travelers & Bonfires'

CD Review: Sevendust - 'Time Travelers & Bonfires'
It’s been 10 years since Sevendust turned the lights out and cut the power, having not unplugged the amps since 2004’s Southside Double-Wide: Acoustic Live, but Time Travelers & Bonfires returns the band to the acoustic arena, where the band is more than capable of carrying themselves. On one hand it might be easy to worry that Sevendust’s normally aggressive nature wouldn't properly translate to an acoustic setting - things could easily devolve into dismissable power ballads - but Time Travelers & Bonfires works quickly to dispel any such notions.

Gary Noon Meets His Music Heroes On 'Walking With Giants' EP

9/19/2013 2:05pm EDT
Gary Noon
Gary Noon is living every music fan's dream. The guitarist and vocalist originally aimed to start a tribute band, and instead ended up collaborating with members of the two bands he was going to play in tribute to. How cool is that? Gary recently sat down with BFTV to answer that question, as well as give us the full inside scoop on the newly available Walking with Giants EP.

The Learning Curve: Music To Contemplate This Week

1/29/2009 10:54am EST
New Years Day
(The Learning Curve) There's literally something for everyone's palette. This week is a journey. Hit the dance floor with SS Nova and Blaqk Audio, whip out the air guitar with Lynam, jump in the mosh pit with Demon Hunter and then start singing along with New Years Day.

This week you might see some familiar faces in some of these bands, but still, they are worth a listen. The members that formed these bands sound little or nothing like their old calling cards, so make sure you take the time to listen.

Enjoy my friends.
