This new edition of the Review Rundown offers reviews of new releases from Messengers, Senses Fail, Kristian Hoffman, Finlay Morton and Mark Newman.

File Under: Standard Screamo/Post-Hardcore

Senses Fail - The Fire (Vagrant): While Senses Fail’s fourth long player, the Fire, could be considered somewhat of a conservative and safe release for the screamo-ers, at least it isn’t a rehashing of 2008’s Life Is a Waiting Room, something many of the bands followers will rejoice over. February 17th, 2009 10:02am EST
Tokio Hotel
(The Learning Curve) I thought this week we would change things up a little bit. Here is the first International In the Shadows article. There are more to come, but people always seem to be remembering the first the fondest, even if you aren't multi-lingual.

Right out of the gates we have some of the heavier hitters from overseas, as Germany, New Zealand, Japan and Malaysia are all represented by some fantastic bands.

4LYN and the soon to be your favorite band Tokio Hotel hit US shores straight from Germany, Pop Shuvit want you to notice them coming straight out of Kuala Lumpur ...

Driver Side Impact
(The Learning Curve) Red and the Confession bring the heavy, Driver Side Impact and Fair to Midland bring post-hardcore goodness that we all know and love and Black Light Burns features a familiar face playing unfamiliar music.

Formed in November 2005, The Graduate, collaboration between long-time friends Tim Moore, Corey Warning, Matt Kennedy, Max Sauer and Jared Wuestenberg, gained momentum in the Midwest 'indie-circuit' due to the memo...

The Darkness
In October, Justin Hawkins, lead singer of The Darkness, announced that he's leaving the band because he can't live the rock 'n' roll lifestyle again after completing rehab... Weird Al Yankovic's White & Nerdy becomes the parody singer's first ever top-ten hit... and legendary NYC nightclub CBGB, where bands like the Ramones, Talking Heads and Blondie got their start, closed; Patti Smith was the final act... Beck took things to the next level by releasing his latest album, The Information with sets of stickers so fans could create their own cover art; however, the revolutionary move prompte...
