12 Songs Using The D-Word

12 Songs Using The D-Word
No folks, we’re not talking about the closing track off of Toni Braxton & Babyface’s collaborative album Love, Marriage & Divorce. Nope, we’re referring to that earth shattering, intensifying baby curse word. Justin Bieber used it on his Believe album – albeit subtly on “Die In Your Arms” – to exercise his burgeoning manliness. Other artists use it for emphasis – a pronounced, less harsh variant on the f-bomb. Some truly terrific songs have embraced being ‘damnable’, so here’s a list that’ll have you “Feelin’ Way Too Damn Good” as you read it, Nickelback.

1) Mary J. Blige, “Whole D...

Trey Songz Tops With ‘Trigga’: This Week in Music
Trey Songz once more has reason to celebrate. Despite selling just 105,000 copies of sixth album Trigga, a downgrade from his previous three LPs Chapter V, Passion, Pain & Pleasure, and breakout album Ready, it did secure the artist another #1 album. That’s right –Trey Songz took his salacious, libidinous, and hypersexual Trigga to the penthouse. #Swag.

To add more sweetness to Trey’s bittersweet numbers are three positive takeaways. The first is that Trey Songz far outclassed the second place album, Ed Sheeran’s former chart topper X by nearly doubling it up in sales (105,000 > 53,...

5 Albums to Check Out : This Week In Music
Previously on 'Albums to Check Out' (June 24, 2017), Ed Sheeran’s sophomore album X served as the most highly anticipated album release. X had been generating buzz for a minute – several technically! Big 'guns' dropping new albums this week are Robin Thicke and Trey Songz.

Thicke and Songz both lay claim to a number one album on their résumés (Blurred Lines and Chapter V). That said, latest projects Paula and Trigga seem to have lower expectations. Regardless, both lead a list of five albums to check out July 1, 2014.

1) Paula: Robin Thicke

The Learning Curve: Grunge, Dark Vibes And More

4/7/2009 12:43pm EDT
The Art of Dying
We have lots of diversity on this week's 'Learning Curve'. Tune in and check them out.

The Art of Dying

Hail from: Vancouver, BC, Canada

Label: None

Sounds like: Seether, Taproot, Evans Blue

You should be listening to: 'Self Titled' LP

I Should Care Why?: The world needs more bands like the Art of Dying and I'll tell you why. They aren't some whiny teenage Disney star who thinks they can sing, and they aren't emo. They are honest, that much is evident by listening to just one of their tracks (I recommend 'You Don't Know Me'). You would think that t...
