Scorpions is a German heavy metal/hard rock band from Hannover, Germany, known for their 1980s rock anthem "Rock You Like a Hurricane" and their singles "No One Like You", "Send Me an Angel, "Still Loving You", and "Wind of Change".

On January 24, 2010, after 45 years of performing, the band announced that they will be retiring after touring in support of their new album "Sting in the Tail." Scorpions sold between 100 and 150 million albums worldwide. Six of their albums have been certified platinum by the RIAA and two have reached gold status.

1984's "Love at First Sting" and 1988's "Savage Amusement" both reached the top ten on the Billboard 200 chart. The triple platinum selling "Love at First Sing" featured the song "Rock You Like a Hurricane" which reached number 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Their 1991 album "Crazy World" peaked at number 21 on Billboard 200 chart for albums in 1991. The single "Wind of Change" reached number four on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1991 the band's highest charting song.
