Carlos Santana Reunites With Homeless Ex-Band Member

Carlos Santana has enjoyed a touching Christmas reunion with a former band member he has not seen for decades.

Marcus 'The Magnificent' Malone, who is homeless and lives on the streets of Oakland, played congas in the Santana Blues Band during the 1960s but reportedly left in 1969 after he was sentenced to prison for manslaughter.

A journalist organized the reunion on Friday after he met Malone and heard his hard-luck story last week.

Legendary guitarist Carlos Santana is reuniting with the original members of his Grammy-winning band Santana to record a new album.

The group has endured numerous line-up changes over the years, but the musician has confirmed founding member Greg Rolie, who went on to put together Journey, is now re-joining following his departure in 1971.

Rolie's Journey's co-star Neal Schon is also returning to Santana, along with percussionists Mike Carabello and Michael Shrieve.

Last night marked the halfway point of season 14, and the stars came one by one heating up the floor with their sexy moves for Latin Week. For the shows steamiest week, the contestants had the option to either dance to the samba, salsa or Argentine tango.

Carlos Santana was the performer for the night and kept things hot, with the sultry sounds from his guitar. The evening filled with energetic performances was amazing, and I can say one of the best nights of the competition.

Guitar legend Carlos Santana is set to return to Las Vegas for another residency this spring.

The "Black Magic Woman" hitmaker will play a string of shows at House of Blues at Mandalay Bay from May to June and then return to the venue in September for an extended run, which will continue through 2013.

Pop superstar Shakira has landed a special Latin Grammy award for her contribution to music and tireless charity work.

The Hips Don't Lie hit-maker has been named the Latin Recording Academy's Person of the Year, and she will collect the prize during a special gala on November 9th, a day before the Latin Grammys in Las Vegas.

Guitar legend Carlos Santana has been given a permanent tribute by officials in California who have named a school in his honor.

Executives of the Los Angeles Unified school board have approved plans to rename Valley Region Elementary School No. 12 in the San Fernando Valley after the veteran musician to recognize his career achievements and charity work with children.

The facility will be renamed the Carlos Santana Arts Academy.

Paul Simon and Carlos Santana have joined a number of artists who are protesting the decision to cut more than 30 honors from the annual Grammy Awards.

Officials at America's Recording Academy sparked outrage after announcing plans to axe a number of prizes, including awards for Latin jazz, Hawaiian and Native American music, and merge several categories.

Guitarist Carlos Santana criticized a tough new immigration law in Georgia as he was honored in Atlanta on Sunday, branding the policy "anti-American".

The Mexican-born rocker spoke out against the controversial legislation after receiving the Beacon of Change Award ahead of the Civil Rights Game baseball event in the city.
