The Ronettes Star Estelle Bennett Dies
Former The Ronettes star Estelle Bennett has died. She was 67. The singer was found dead at her home in New Jersey on Wednesday after relatives were unable to contact her. The cause of death was not determined as WENN went to press.
Bennett shot to fame with the singing trio in the 1960s, formed with her sister Ronnie and cousin Nedra Talley. They were best known for their 1963 hit Be My Baby.
The group was also instrumental in epitomizing producer Phil Spector's famous Wall of Sound recording technique.
