The Rolling Stones
Super Precious Tracks, Vol. 1
Release Date: z
Label: Black Panther
Rating:

A Japanese bootleg of a bootleg featuring some very tinny recordings of the Stones plowing through the usual rock & roll covers, some of which made it onto their early LPs. Taken from BBC broadcasts circa 1963-1964, there are no flubs, just straight-ahead takes. And while nothing really surpasses the studio versions, nothing falls apart. Only real selling point are two versions of a 12-bar-blues jam, "Andrew's Blues," the second featuring smutty improvised lyrics about their manager, and "Stewed and Keefed," another jam not on any official release, but certainly available elsewhere.
