Genres: Indie Rock, Lo-fi

Rogue Wave is an indie rock band from Oakland, California, that is the brainchild of Zach Schwartz (a.k.a. Zach Rogue). The band's beginnings can be traced back to Schwartz losing his job in the dot.com industry and heading to New York City to record some of the music he had written. Upon his return to California, Schwartz was set on a career in music and began to put the band together that would become Rogue Wave. The band has gone through a number of line-up changes since their original formation. Rogue Wave currently consists of Schwartz on lead vocals, Patrick Spurgeon on drums, Cameron Jasper on bass and Dominic East on guitar.

The band's debut album, “Out of the Shadow” arrived in 2003, which was followed-up by a national tour in 2004. The band's second album, “Descended Like Vultures” appeared in 2005 through Sub Pop Records, with their third effort, “Asleep at Heaven's Gate” emerging in 2007. The fourth Rogue Wave album, “Permalight” was released in 2010 on Brushfire Records.
