7 Albums to Check Out: This Week in Music
After an extremely quiet week of new releases last week (July 8), This week, July 15, has more ‘weapons’ in its arsenal. Yes, the basketball team has more highly touted, long-range shooters – in other words, there are more albums with bigger chart potential. There isn’t one huge star itself, but definitely some experienced musicians who’ve previously tasted success. Here are 7 albums to check out this week.

1) Jason Mraz, Yes! (Atlantic)

Yes! Marks pop singer/songwriter Jason Mraz’s fifth studio album. Yes! Follows Mraz’s high-flying 2012 LP, Love Is a Four Letter Word. Love d...

Both bands quickly pulled down tweets endorsing Paul.

One read: "If you actually read what Ron Paul is saying, you will discover that for the first time in your life a politician is not lying to you."

Rise Against fired back with the post, "We were hacked. As you would all as...

Review: Rise Against - 'Endgame' (DGC/Interscope)

March 15th, 2011 4:19pm EDT
With 2008’s Appeal to Reason Rise Against tossed their collective hat into the ring of mainstream success and viability, and after one spin of the band’s latest, Endgame, it appears there is no turning back. Now, that’s no to say that Rise Against had to set out to reinvent the wheel in terms of sound, but it’s just that, they didn’t do anything new with this record – they didn’t take any chances. No, the band didn’t have to revolutionize themselves just to be fashionable as seems to be the trend nowadays (yes, Linkin Park, looking at you here), but any release that showed some balls...
