Redd Kross is an American rock band from Hawthorne, California, founded by brothers Jeff (vocals/guitar) and Steve McDonald (bass). The band, which originally included s Greg Hetson and Dave Keller on guitar and John Stielow on drums, was derived from the McDonalds’ middle school band, The Tourists, which was started in 1978. The band had changed its name to Red Cross by the time they issued their debut self-titled EP in 1980. Shortly after, Ron Reyes became the drummer, replacing Stielow. Keller left to join Trixie and the Doorknobs as its guitarist and singer. They appeared on the Posh Boy compilation “The Siren,” and then to complete the lineup on their first full-length album, ...
