Ratt is an American glam metal band that formed in San Diego and had significant commercial success in the 1980s. The band is best known for their songs "Round and Round," "Wanted Man," "Lay It Down," "You're in Love", "Slip of the Lip" and "Back For More."

“Out of the Cellar” was their breakthrough album released in 1984. It is RIAA certified Triple Platinum album and peaked at #7 on the Billboard 200 chart. Produced by Beau Hill, the album features their best-known hit, "Round and Round", and other hits such as "Wanted Man", "Lack of Communication", and a re-recorded version of "Back for More", a song which originally appeared on their debut “Ratt” EP.

Ratt's second full length album “Invasion of Your Privacy” contains the hit singles "Lay It Down"(#40), "You're in Love"(#89) and "What You Give Is What You Get". Greeted with positive reviews, “Invasion of Your Privacy” achieved multi-platinum status.

1988’s “Reach for the Sky” also achieved platinum status and spawned the hits "I Want a Woman" and "Way Cool Jr." It reached #17 on the Billboard 200 chart.

“Infestation,” released April 20, 2010, is the band's first original effort since their self-titled album in 1999. In the US, the album debuted at #30 and sold over 13,000 copies the first week it was released. In Japan, the album charted at #5.
