''Invasion of Your Privacy'' is Ratt's second full length album. Beau Hill, who produced their smash debut album, returned to helm production on this album. Greeted with positive reviews, Invasion of Your Privacy achieved multi-platinum status. This album contains the hit singles "Lay It Down"(#40), "You're in Love"(#89) and "What You Give Is What You Get".

"Never Use Love" was a track Pearcy wrote and performed in the Mickey Ratt days.

"Dangerous But Worth The Risk" was the show opener on this tour.

The cover-model is Playboy model Marianne Gravatte, who also made an appearance in the "Lay It Down" music video.

American Mainstream Metal band Bon Jovi opened for Ratt while they were on their 7800 Fahrenheit world tour in 1985.

This album is also noted by critics and fans for the strong and prominent guitar presence of Robbin Crosby; it would be the last album to feature Crosby as lead guitarist in a major capacity. It is also noted as the album that guitarist Warren DeMartini's technique and dexterity coalesce and gain momentum, kick-starting his rise to the ranks of bona-fide guitar "shredder".
