| Jon Randall Cold Coffee Morning Release Date: 1998 09 22 Label: Elektra Rating: ![]() |
Jon Randall's debut album Cold Coffee Morning displays not only his love for traditional country, but his own personalized take on it. Randall's backround as one of Emmylou Harris' Nash Ramblers, and the pedigrees of his sidemen -- who have also worked with Patty Loveless, Hal Ketchum and Dwight Yoakam -- give Cold Coffee Morning a rich heritage of its own, which includes ballads like "I Don't Go There" and "She Reminds Me of Texas." Willie Nelson and Lorrie Morgan duet with Randall on "Reno & Me" and "Knowing You're There," respectively, adding yet another distinctive touch to an accomplished first effort.
