The "2006 UK Music Hall Of Fame" premieres on VH1 as a two-hour extravaganza on Saturday, Nov. 25, at 9:00 p.m. Prince, Brian Wilson, Dusty Springfield, Led Zeppelin, Rod Stewart, Bon Jovi and James Brown participated in a star-studded evening full of musical legends. These seven joined George Martin, who received this year's Honorary Membership in recognition of his exceptional contribution to British music.

Oasis, U2 and Arctic Monkeys all emerged triumphant at the 2006 Q Music Awards in London today, taking home two awards each. Oasis was named "Best Act In The World Today" while the band's Noel Gallagher took home the "Classic Songwriter" award at the Grosvenor Hotel ceremony.

U2 guitarist The Edge collected a prize for "Innovation In Sound." He also picked up the "Band Of Bands" award, given to U2 for collecting the most votes from the readers of the British magazine the lifetime of the Q Awards.

British soul singer Corinne Bailey Rae used to be racially abused on a regular basis while growing up, even though her verbal attackers mistakenly thought she was of Pakistani origin. Bailey Rae was raised in Leeds, England by her white mother and black father, who originated from the Caribbean.

And she quickly learned how to deal with racism, whether indirect or intended.

She says, "My sisters and I were different and people used to say, 'Ah, aren't they cute, the little chocolate children, and look at their hair.' I know they were only being cute but it was over the top.
