Jack White Plays First Solo Gig At Record Label

Jack White performed his first full solo gig at the third anniversary party of the Third Man record label in Nashville, Tennessee on Thursday.

The rocker performed new tracks and classics from his bands The White Stripes, The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather during a 19-song set for a specially-invited audience.

The exclusive gig took place in the lounge of of his record label's base.

Audience members included White's Dead Weather bandmate Alison Mosshart.

Rocker Jack White's lost movie debut is to premiere at San Diego, California's comic book convention Comic-Con later this month.

The White Stripes,The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather star has appeared in films like Cold Mountain and Walk Hard, in which he portrayed Elvis Presley, but his first acting role was in a low budget 1997 movie, called Mutant Swinger From Mars.

Rockers The Kills have been left baffled after their tour bus and driver mysteriously disappeared midway through their current U.S. tour.

The band, which includes Kate Moss' ex-boyfriend Jamie Hince, last saw the vehicle on September 26th in Los Angeles before it vanished, along with the driver and their entire luggage. The White Stripes star Meg White thrilled fans onstage at a Raconteurs show in Detroit, Michigan on Sunday when she joined band mate Jack White for an encore.

The crowd at the Fillmore cheered as Meg suddenly appeared behind the drum kit as Jack White returned to the stage for the group's encore, but there was no White Stripes treat in store.

After being introduced, Meg simply waved at the hometown crowd and walked off the stage, leaving the rest of the Raconteurs to join Jack White to close out the show.

Portishead and The Verve are to give this year's Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in the California desert a British flavor after confirming headlining slots.

The two groups join The Raconteurs, Jack Johnson, The Breeders and Rilo Kiley among the early confirmations for the three-day festival in April.
