The Pretty Reckless is an American alternative rock band from New York. The current members are Taylor Momsen (rhythm guitar), Ben Phillips (lead guitar), Mark Damon (bass) and Jamie Perkins (drums). The band was originally going to be called "The Reckless", but was changed to The Pretty Reckless due to trademark problems.

Their debut album, “Light Me Up,” was released in August 2010 in the UK (February 2011 in the US). Prior to releasing the album, they released their first single "Make Me Wanna Die" in May 2010. The song was used in the 2010 film “Kick-Ass.” The intro features a reworked sample of Abba's song "Lay All Your Love on Me." "Miss Nothing" and "Just Tonight" were also released as singles. In the UK the album went to #1 on the Rock Albums chart while reaching #6 on the Albums chart. In the US the album went to #18 on the Top Rock albums chart and #65 on the Billboard 200 chart.
