Australian super groups Silverchair and Powderfinger are to team up for a joint tour of their homeland. The rockers will play 21 concerts across Australia, beginning with a show in Newcastle at the end of August.

Australian rockers Powderfinger have been given legal clearance to proceed with a controversial song about Aboriginal deaths in custody after changing the lyrics. Queensland Attorney-General Kerry Shine ruled today that altered lyrics to the song Black Tears were no cause for legal concern.
