Drake Spends A Second Week Atop The Billboard 200
In a development that’s surprising to no one, after a robust first week, Drake sees his fourth studio album Views remain firmly planted atop the Billboard 200. According to Billboard, Views moved another 219,000 units, with 80% of that total comprised of pure sales. Despite a huge drop in impact between week one and week two, Drake still himself to be the artist to beat this week (more on that later).

Beyoncé’s Lemonade spends a second week behind Drake’s Views in the runner-up slot after debuting at no. 1. While Lemonade’s “sweet” and glorious days atop the Billboard 200 may be done thank...

Drake’s 'Views' Debuts Big Atop Billboard 200
Beyoncé’s Lemonade might’ve surprised us more than Drake’s Views where content is concerned, but Drake easily wins the numbers race. That’s right, Drake’s Views starts off platinum, scoring 1.04 million units, easily debuting at no. 1 on the Billboard 200. The 1.04 million units number should come with reservations – Views sold approximately 82% of that total or 852,000 copies. What does that mean? In regards to pure sales, Drake didn’t score a million seller, but he did score the best numbers of his entire career. Clearly, the “6God” doesn’t seem to be fading.

Don’t feel bad for Beyoncé...

Call At Night, Alone the singer/songwriter/producer’s ‘second chance’ at pop success following an underappreciated debut (31 Minutes To Take Off), which indeed featured “a pop song people forgot” (“Cooler Than Me”).

How does Posner’s latest – his first in six years – stack up? There’s plenty to like about the album and based upon songs from his debut and the songs he’s written and produced for others, Aviici’s praises are ac...

Incredibly Heartfelt Songs Of 2015, Vol. 2
Where would music be without passionate, heartfelt songs? Sad – that’s what it would be! Each passing year brings an assortment of heartfelt songs that resonate with the listener in some form or fashion. Even with plenty of novelty and nonsensical songs on the radio (looking at you “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)”), people still enjoy the depth of a song about love, pain, and varying other emotions.

With so many heartfelt tunes in 2015, another list – arguably a more unsung one – was necessary. If you haven’t already checked out Volume 1, then you’re missing out! The good thing is that there’s no...

These Songs Were Made With The Cemetery In Mind

10 Songs About Death And Burial
Death is an eerie thing – understatement to the nth degree. Still, it’s real-life and as uncomfortable a topic it may be, it must be discussed. In the context of this article, death is approached from the postmortem practice of burial. There are no references to embalming, mummification or cremation. Who in their right mind would write a song about those things anyways? Well maybe somebody, but it doesn’t happen here! Still, these joints have the cemetery in mind.

1) Rick Ross featuring T.I., “Bury Me A G” (Self Made Volume 2, 2012)

On “Bury Me A G,” Rick Ross doesn’t seem to care a...
