Rocker Bret Michaels has settled his multi-million dollar lawsuit with the organizers of the Tony Awards, which stems from an onstage accident in 2009.

The Poison singer was hit on the head by a piece of the stage set after performing at the Broadway prize giving in New York City and he claims the injury contributed to a subsequent brain hemorrhage which nearly cost him his life.

Michaels filed lawsuits against both Tonys bosses and executives at the CBS TV network which broadcast the show, and he has now settled both legal cases out of court.

Poison star Bret Michaels is set to stage an intimate show in Chicago, Illinois next month to raise money for a local performing arts charity.

The rocker will take to the stage at the Metropolis Performing Arts Center in Arlington Heights as part of a fundraiser for the venue's Metropolis School of the Performing Arts, which provides classes and performance opportunities for local youngsters.

Poison frontman Bret Michaels has shown off his softer side by sending one young girl to summer camp.

Kennah Hebert, 11, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes three years ago and earlier this month she wrote a letter to Michaels asking if he would attend a charity walk in her native Roanoke, Pennsylvania to help raise money for research.
