| haven't listened to tem as i canna remeber so far ago. did meet a yoyng women who say;s she was once to marry a pogue, but declined. she was full of advice for me, to begin again.am now wit me fiddle and suggle as i may, never to tary too long in search of the lost, not gone lenore anne. did hear the cranberry's and like much. | ||

| They are and always will be a great Irish - influenced punk band on the same tradition as the Cranberries, the Boomtown Rats, U2 and Oasis. Listen to 'If I Should Fall From From Grace With God' or 'Lost Highway' with Shane MacGowan slurring strains of the lyrics, one could hear the magic of the Pogues. The sad situation of Shane's long alcoholism is that many fans consider his sad plight with alcoholism a badge of honour. I loathe the day I read his obituary in the press. I just wish he would 'swallow his pride' and enter a recovery clinic. He has too much talent and "balls" to waste at the bottom of bottle of whiskey. | ||
