Just because an artist dies doesn't mean their music has to. These posthumous albums prove some musicians continue to have a lasting effect long after they're gone. In no particular order, here are the 25 Best Postumous Albums Ever.

Notorious BIG - Life After Death
This ironically-titled album was the first posthumous work to score two #1 singles on Billboard. It was released only a few weeks after the rapper was killed in drive-by shooting. Mo Money Mo Problems and Hypnotize helped BIG break into popular music and introduced the world to Sean Combs.

Pimp C's Widow Establishes Scholarship Fund

The widow of rapper Pimp C is auctioning off one of the UGK star's gold record plaques to raise funds for a new scholarship established in his memory.

Pimp C, real name Chad Butler, died in 2007 after suffering an accidental drug overdose complicated by a pre-existing sleep disorder.

Chinara Butler has now announced plans to keep her husband's memory alive in the field of education.

And she is hoping to raise the cash for the fund by selling Pimp C's award for sales of "Ridin' Dirty" later this year to mark the 15th anniversary of the classic UGK album.

Rapper Pimp C Found Dead In Hollywood Hotel Room

Pimp C, real name Chad Butler -- and one half of the rap duo UGK, was found dead in a hotel room this morning. He was 33.

L.A. County Fire responded to a 911 call at the Mondrian Hotel, located on trendy Sunset Strip in Hollywood. They arrived to his sixth floor hotel room to find him dead in bed.

UGK is best known for appearing on the Jay-Z track "Big Pimpin'" in 2000, and more recently with Outkast on the song "International Player's Anthem (I Choose You)." Pimp C had just performed with fellow rapper Too Short at the "House of Blues" in L.A. on Saturday night.
