Pearl Jam 'Lets It Go' In Milan

6/23/2014 4:00pm EDT
Pearl Jam Frozen
Pearl Jam is one of those bands that has international renown across the world. They have global fame and fans world round - which is, interestingly enough, a common trait they share with another entertainment superpower; Walt Disney Studios. It just so happened that last Friday night (6/20/14) those two worlds collided.

During their tour in Milan, Italy, frontman Eddie Vedder transitioned from the song 'Daughter' into a short rock-rendition of 'Let It Go' originally sung by Idina Menzel in Disney's smash hit, Frozen. Needless to say, it was a completely different experience at a Pearl Jam...

Pearl Jam's Former Manager Admits To Embezzling $300,000

12/23/2013 12:49pm EST
Pearl Jam
Grunge pioneers Pearl Jam's former manager has pleaded guilty to stealing $306,000 from the band.

Rickey Charles Goodrich, who served as chief financial officer for the group's management company, Curtis Management, between 2006 and 2010, admitted six counts of theft at a court in Seattle on Friday.

According to Seattle Weekly, Pearl Jam hired a private investigator to look into Goodrich's finances and it was revealed he had transferred money from their account in order to pay off his own debts.

Goodrich has paid back $125,000 and has agreed to refund the remaining $181,000. He could ...

Concert Review: Pearl Jam Live In Texas (Photos)

11/21/2013 12:45pm EST

The mighty Pearl Jam arrived in Dallas, 11/15/2013 to play the sold out show at The American Airlines Center. Headlining their latest album “Lightning Bolt,” Pearl Jam came to make some noise. While the band did indeed make some “noise,” they were shortly overpowered by the menacing shrieks of their faithful fans; fans deriving all the way from Houston and Austin to even far away places like Guatemala and Europe. Pearl Jam, a band who hadn’t seen Dallas in over 10 years, knew they had a big performance ahead of them. Opening up the show with “Pendulum”, a track off the band’s late...

Soundgarden To Hit The Road Without Matt Cameron

11/15/2013 8:16pm EST
Reunited grunge rockers Soundgarden will go on tour without drummer Matt Cameron next year due to the musician's commitments with his other band Pearl Jam.

Cameron joined PJ in 1998, a year after Soundgarden split, and he has spent the past few weeks busy promoting Pearl Jam's new album Lightning Bolt.

Eddie Vedder and his bandmates are expected to continue an ongoing tour well into 2014, and although dates have yet to be announced, Cameron wants to keep his schedule clear so he can honor his commitment to the group.

The decision means he will not be able to join his Soundgarden pals ...

Phish, My Morning Jacket, Gov't Mule Play Tributes For Lou Reed

10/29/2013 12:47am EDT
Trey Anastasio
The song may have been in the band's repertoire since Halloween of 1998, but on Sunday night Phish opened their show at Hartford, Connecticut's XL Center with a bittersweet, yet rousing rendition of the Velvet Underground's "Rock & Roll" in tribute to late music legend Lou Reed.

Reed passed away earlier in the day due to complications stemming from a liver transplant he had back in May.

Following the eleven-and-a-half-minute epic, frontman Trey Anastasio asked the crowd for a moment of silence for "one of the greatest artists who's ever lived."

Prior to the show Anastasio posted a tribut...

Pearl Jam's 'Lighting Bolt' Strikes At No. 1 On Billboard 200

10/24/2013 8:50am EDT
Pearl Jam - Lightning Bolt
I believe that it was last week I suggested to readers to ‘take your pick’ at which album would debut at no. 1.  Somehow when formulating such a statement, I must have forgot about a certain veteran band who would manage to sell six figures – oops! Pearl Jam debuts atop the Billboard Albums Chart with 166,000 copies of Lightning Bolt sold.  Pearl Jam definitely aren’t strangers to debuting at no. 1 as several of their sets have landed there.  166,000 copies is a solid start in this day and age, though not exactly ‘breathtaking’. Still, it leads one to believe that the ceiling is wider than ...

7/6/2012 5:17pm EDT
Pearl Jam
Frontman Eddie Vedder has made one Pearl Jam fan's dreams come true by flying him to a concert in Amsterdam to pick out the band's set list.

Brian Farias, who has been to see his favorite band more than 108 times, has been a member of Pearl Jam's fan group Ten Club for more than two decades, and on June 27th, his years of loyalty paid off.

The Rhode Island native was selected to join the hit-makers in Holland for a meet-and-greet and present the tunes he'd like the rockers to perform - and the 46 year old confesses it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Pearl Jam Donates Signed Guitar To Burglary Victims

12/27/2011 9:33am EST
Pearl Jam
Eddie Vedder and his Pearl Jam bandmates made one family's Christmas wish come true by donating a signed guitar to replace a special memento which was stolen in a burglary.

The band handed over a signed instrument to Josh Hardy from New Hampshire in 1992 when he was dying of brain cancer and after his death; the instrument was left to his younger brother, Ben.

The precious guitar was recently stolen from Ben in a break-in and subsequently returned with the musicians' signatures scrubbed off, but the 34 year old was delighted when a special delivery from the band arrived just before Chri...

Henry Rollins Celebrates The West Memphis 3 Release

Punk icon Henry Rollins is celebrating on tour in Scotland after learning the West Memphis 3 are free men in Arkansas.

The former Black Flag and Rollins Band frontman was among the celebrities campaigning for the release of Damien Echols, Jessie Misskelley and Jason Baldwin, who were jailed for the murder of three boy scouts in 1993.

The three men have maintained their innocence ever since they were jailed for life in 1994, and on Friday they were released from prison after pleading guilty to the crime during an emergency hearing.

Two of the incarcerated three men Pearl Jam star Eddie Vedder has been seeking justice for over the past decade are to plead guilty to killing three boy scouts in return for their freedom, according to shocking new reports.

The West Memphis 3, Damien Echols, Jessie Misskelley and Jason Baldwin, were each sentenced to life in an Arkansas prison in 1994 for the satanic killings. Echols was also sentenced to death and has been on Death Row ever since his sentence began.

The three men maintained their innocence for 17 years and their fight for a new trial was picked up by Vedder and celebriti...

8/6/2011 10:30am EDT
Matt Damon
Matt Damon's new movie "We Bought A Zoo" was a very musical experience because he insisted director Cameron Crowe play Sigur Ros star Jonsi's soundtrack tunes on the set.

In the film, Damon plays real-life widower Benjamin Mee, who brought a dilapidated zoo back to life in honor of his late wife - and he found the Icelandic star's music, and other tunes Crowe played on the set, helpful for his character building.

Crowe tells WENN, "We played Jonsi's music a lot in the making of the movie, along with some Pearl Jam, too, and Neil Young. Matt Damon is a big fan of all this music, so we lite...

1/22/2011 7:45pm EST
Pearl Jam
Pearl Jam are struggling with scenes from their upcoming Cameron Crowe documentary because some footage brings back memories they'd rather forget.

The group gave Crowe, a longtime fan, access to rare video clips and backstage interviews and the Almost Famous director is now piecing the footage together for a major retrospective, which will mark the band's 20th anniversary.

But bassist Jeff Ament admits a lot of the film will be difficult to watch.

He explains, "I just saw a rough cut. It was so f**king weird seeing footage of stuff I didn't know anybody was taping at the time. The whole ...
