Pearl Jam 'Lets It Go' In Milan

June 23rd, 2014 4:00pm EDT
Pearl Jam Frozen
Pearl Jam is one of those bands that has international renown across the world. They have global fame and fans world round - which is, interestingly enough, a common trait they share with another entertainment superpower; Walt Disney Studios. It just so happened that last Friday night (6/20/14) those two worlds collided.

During their tour in Milan, Italy, frontman Eddie Vedder transitioned from the song 'Daughter' into a short rock-rendition of 'Let It Go' originally sung by Idina Menzel in Disney's smash hit, Frozen. Needless to say, it was a completely different experience at a Pearl Jam...

December 23rd, 2013 12:49pm EST

Grunge pioneers Pearl Jam's former manager has pleaded guilty to stealing $306,000 from the band.

Rickey Charles Goodrich, who served as chief financial officer for the group's management company, Curtis Management, between 2006 and 2010, admitted six counts of theft at a court in Seattle on Friday.

According to Seattle Weekly, Pearl Jam hired a private investigator to look into Goodrich's finances and it was revealed he had transferred money from their account in order to pay off his own debts.

Goodrich has paid back $125,000 and has agreed to refund the remaining $181,000. He could ...

Concert Review: Pearl Jam Live In Texas (Photos)

November 21st, 2013 12:45pm EST

The mighty Pearl Jam arrived in Dallas, 11/15/2013 to play the sold out show at The American Airlines Center. Headlining their latest album “Lightning Bolt,” Pearl Jam came to make some noise. While the band did indeed make some “noise,” they were shortly overpowered by the menacing shrieks of their faithful fans; fans deriving all the way from Houston and Austin to even far away places like Guatemala and Europe. Pearl Jam, a band who hadn’t seen Dallas in over 10 years, knew they had a big performance ahead of them. Opening up the show with “Pendulum”, a track off the band’s late...

Soundgarden To Hit The Road Without Matt Cameron

November 15th, 2013 8:16pm EST
Soundgarden
Reunited grunge rockers Soundgarden will go on tour without drummer Matt Cameron next year due to the musician's commitments with his other band Pearl Jam.

Cameron joined PJ in 1998, a year after Soundgarden split, and he has spent the past few weeks busy promoting Pearl Jam's new album Lightning Bolt.

Eddie Vedder and his bandmates are expected to continue an ongoing tour well into 2014, and although dates have yet to be announced, Cameron wants to keep his schedule clear so he can honor his commitment to the group.

The decision means he will not be able to join his Soundgarden pals ...

Phish, My Morning Jacket, Gov't Mule Play Tributes For Lou Reed

October 29th, 2013 12:47am EDT
Trey Anastasio
The song may have been in the band's repertoire since Halloween of 1998, but on Sunday night Phish opened their show at Hartford, Connecticut's XL Center with a bittersweet, yet rousing rendition of the Velvet Underground's "Rock & Roll" in tribute to late music legend Lou Reed.

Reed passed away earlier in the day due to complications stemming from a liver transplant he had back in May.

Following the eleven-and-a-half-minute epic, frontman Trey Anastasio asked the crowd for a moment of silence for "one of the greatest artists who's ever lived."

Prior to the show Anastasio posted a tribut...

Pearl Jam's 'Lighting Bolt' Strikes At No. 1 On Billboard 200

October 24th, 2013 8:50am EDT
Pearl Jam - Lightning Bolt
I believe that it was last week I suggested to readers to ‘take your pick’ at which album would debut at no. 1.  Somehow when formulating such a statement, I must have forgot about a certain veteran band who would manage to sell six figures – oops! Pearl Jam debuts atop the Billboard Albums Chart with 166,000 copies of Lightning Bolt sold.  Pearl Jam definitely aren’t strangers to debuting at no. 1 as several of their sets have landed there.  166,000 copies is a solid start in this day and age, though not exactly ‘breathtaking’. Still, it leads one to believe that the ceiling is wider than ...

The precious guitar was recently stolen from Ben in a break-in and subsequently returned with the musicians' signatures scrubbed off, but the 34 year old was delighted when a special delivery from the band arrived just before Chri...

Crowe tells WENN, "We played Jonsi's music a lot in the making of the movie, along with some Pearl Jam, too, and Neil Young. Matt Damon is a big fan of all this music, so we lite...
