Papa Roach is an American rock band from Vacaville, California. Members include lead singer Jacoby Shaddix, lead guitarist Jerry Horton, bassist Tobin Esperance and drummer Tony Palermo.

In 1994, Papa Roach released their first EP titled “Potatoes for Christmas.” In 1997, the band produced their first full-length album, entitled “Old Friends from Young Years.”

After signing with DreamWorks Records in October 1999, they immediately hit the studio to record their debut major-label album titled “Infest.” The album included old songs from their independent releases. “Infest” was released in 2000, reached #5 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart and was certified 3× platinum.

Their second major-label album, “Lovehatetragedy,” was released in 2002, peaking at #2 on the Billboard 200 and certifying gold.

In late 2003, Papa Roach wrote and recorded their third major-label album “Getting Away with Murder.” The album, which was certified platinum, peaked at #17 on the Billboard 200 and featured the #15 Billboard Hot 100 single, “Scars.”

In 2006 Papa Roach released their fourth major-label album, “The Paramour Sessions,” which debuted at #16 on the Billboard 200. The band chose the title in respect to the recording location, the Paramour Mansion.

Their sixth album “Metamorphosis,” landed at #8 on the Billboard 200. They released “Time for Annihilation...On the Record and On the Road” in 2010. The album peaked at #23 on the Billboard 200.
