Organizers of the Donington Park three-day event have opted to name their second stage after the former Pantera guitarist, who was shot and killed during a show in Columbus, Ohio in December 2004.

Late heavy rock icon Darrell 'Dimebag' Abbott is to be honored with a posthumous induction into Hollywood's RockWalk. A bronze bust of the former Pantera and Damageplan guitarist will be unveiled on the Los Angeles music landmark on May 17.

Abbott was shot and killed at a Damageplan concert in Columbus, Ohio in December, 2004.

His bust will be installed along the RockWalk posthumous inductee wall, which also includes Robert Johnson and Elvis Presley.
