Panic! At The Disco concert evacuated

February 9th, 2014 10:30am EST
Panic! at the Disco
Panic! At The Disco's concert in Atlanta, Georgia on Friday night had to be evacuated after the venue's floor began to crack.

Hundreds of fans were ushered out of the city's historic Tabernacle venue just two songs into the show when the building's floor gave way.

Video footage taken at the gig shows the moment the floor cracked under the weight of the crowd, and fire marshals began evacuating the audience from the venue.

Gig-goer John Anderson told, "The situation could have been much worse and a large crack developing in a floor with hundreds of people on it is a major problem....

Fiona Apple refused to let Panic! At The Disco sample her song

November 4th, 2013 3:10am EST
Fiona Apple
Panic! At The Disco's Brendon Urie is still mad at singer Fiona Apple after she refused to let the band sample her song Every Single Night.

Urie claims they wanted to use Apple's vocals on their summer (13) release Miss Jackson, but she would not grant them permission.

He tells Revolt TV, "We tried to get the publishing cleared and she was not having it. She was so bummed on us. She was like, 'No, I'm not letting that band sample my stuff.'

"I was kind of bummed, I was like, 'Really? I love your stuff, I love you Fiona,' but then afterwards I was like, 'You b**ch.' I was so mad. I mean...

Review: Panic! At The Disco, 'Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die'

October 11th, 2013 3:15pm EDT
Panic! at the Disco
Panic’s latest effort packs a sizable punch despite its brevity: If there is one thing that has to irk Panic! At The Disco, it’s being in the shadows of another, more popular pop-punk band named Fall Out Boy. Personally, it irks me too, because time and time again, it seems that Panic has separated themselves from the colleagues with their stylistic adventurousness and nonconformity.  Fourth album Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die! doesn’t eschew that eclecticism, this time relying on elements of 80s pop, electronic music, and R&B as major influences.  As captivating as the rest of their d...

Brendan Urie's personal album

October 8th, 2013 11:20am EDT
Panic! At the Disco
Panic! At The Disco's new album is "very personal".
Frontman Brendon Urie says many of the tracks on the group's latest LP, 'Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die!', draw on his own experiences growing up in Las Vegas.
He explained: "There are quite a few songs that are very personal, about things I've been through with different people in my life. There's a lot that people don't know about. When you're growing up in Vegas, you don't go to the Strip all that often; a lot of times you go to Downtown Vegas, which is old Vegas, and a lot of people don't visit, and I felt like that was kind of mis...

Panic! At The Disco drummer Spencer Smith descended into a haze of drug and alcohol addiction after he began popping pills and drinking heavily to combat anxiety and depression.

The 25 year-old musician has revealed he spent two years locked in a vicious cycle of addiction after becoming hooked on prescription drugs including Vicodin and Xanax, but he entered a treatment program late last year in a bid to address his problems.

Smith's downward spiral was triggered by a personal crisis, and he admits he was barely able to function during the band's last major tour.

Panic! At The Disco Singer Breaks His Ankle During Concert

May 31st, 2011 3:31pm EDT
brendon urie
Panic! At The Disco star Brendon Urie was forced to complete the band's Sunday night show in Florida on one leg after breaking his ankle during the concert.

The rocker was attempting to climb back onstage at the Pompano Beach gig when he slipped and injured himself.

However, he refused to let the painful break stop the show - instead he came out hopping, with an ice-pack clamped to his foot, and told fans, "There's, like, a softball in my ankle."

He added, "My left leg is done for the show, if you don't mind... The show will go on if you'll have us."

How Will We Categorize Our Current Decade of Music?

July 24th, 2008 8:45am EDT
50 Cent
We all know that the 70s was the decade of classic/arena rock, the 80s was the decade of hair metal/synth pop and the 90s was the decade of grunge/alternative rock. This brings up a question that a lot of music lovers must wonder: how will we categorize our current decade of music?

It's funny how music tends to change every generation. The 70s was the era of classic rock where groups such as Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith and Lynyrd Skynyrd took over the entire music scene. Next up was the 80s, where both hair metal rockers such as Guns 'N Roses, Def Leppard and Bon Jovi reigned, along with ...

Top 10 Albums Of The 80s

January 30th, 2008 9:33am EST
Michael Jackson Bad
When I first comprised this list, I had all the usual suspects: Thriller, Closer, Daydream Nation, Purple Rain - you know, the albums you see on every other top 10 list for the 80s.

I got about four or five albums when something told me to go back and actually listen to "Thriller" again, from start to finish. Then I listened to Bad¸ Michael Jackson's follow-up, and it became clear that record sales alone doesn't make an album the greatest. Don't believe me? How do you feel about Britney Spears' Oops...I Did it Again - no? You sure? All righty, then.

Yes, sometimes albums are great beca...

The Canadian band was performing fan favorite Neighbourhood #3 (Power Out) at the Nottingham Arena when the incident occurred.
