Orgy is an electronic rock band that hails from Los Angeles California, and was formed in 1996 by vocalist Jay Gordon and guitarist Ryan Shuck, who recruited bassist Paige Haley, guitarist Amir Derakh, and drummer Bobby Hewitt to round out the line-up. All the band members had been around the musical industry for a while and had attained significant success with their earlier endeavors. Upon hearing the band six months after their formation, Jonathan Davis signed them to Elementree Records. The band wasted no time putting out their debut album, “Candyass” in 1998, to positive responses. Later that same year the band performed at the Family Values Tour with Korn, Limp Bizkit, Ice Cube, Incubus, and Rammstein. Their second offering, “Vapor Transmission,” emerged in 2000 and produced the successful singles, “Fiction” and “Opticon.” Shortly after the release of the album the band parted ways with their record label.

2004 saw Gordon start his own record label, D1 Music, which the band's third album, “Punk Statik Paranoia” was released on that same year. Despite not “officially” breaking up, the band went on an indefinite hiatus while various band members worked on side and solo projects. In 2012 the band announced that they would embark on a five week tour called, “The Bad Blood.” The only original remaining member is Gordon who started the band; the new lineup features members of Deadsy, Snot, and Run Run Run. The band has been in recording new material, including a collaboration with Skrillex.
