Linkin Park And The Offspring To Play Philippines Benefit Concert

Linkin Park are teaming up with The Offspring to play a benefit performance for victims of the typhoon in the Philippines.

The two bands will come together for a special show in L.A. in January to raise funds for Linkin Park's charity Music For Relief, an organization which provides aid to disaster areas.

The Concert for the Philippines event at the Club Nokia venue will bring in money to help those affected by Typhoon Haiyan, which ripped through the Asian country in November and left more than 5,000 dead.

More acts will be added to the line-up in the coming weeks.

'Rock Band' Adds New Music From Offspring, Avenged Sevenfold And Crooked X

Harmonix and MTV Games have announced that on June 17th, new music from The Offspring and guitar-heavy tracks from Avenged Sevenfold and Crooked X will be added to the Rock Band™ catalog of downloadable content.

Rock Band™ gamers will be among the first to hear and play "Hammerhead," the lead single from The Offspring's highly anticipated new album, Rise And Fall, Rage And Grace, due in stores on June 17th. The album is The Offspring's first release of new material since 2003's Splinter.

Atlantic recording group and two-time Grammy nominees Shadows Fall have unveiled details for their upcoming spring tour, a two-week jaunt that will see the band playing fourteen shows in as many days. The headlining trek kicks off on April 13th at Buffalo, NY's Showplace theater and winds its way through the eastern half of the country, wrapping up on April 25th at Towson, MD's Recher theater. Support on all dates comes courtesy of Katakylsm, The Showdown, Arsis, and Droid.
