Rapper Tyler The Creator has been arrested in Texas for reportedly inciting a riot at a South by Southwest festival gig a day after his Wednesday night (12Mar14) showcase was cancelled following a fatal car crash outside the venue.

He was arrested on Saturday afternoon (15Mar14) at an airport as he was planning to leave Austin.

The alleged riot kicked off on Thursday (13Mar14) after Tyler, real name Tyler Gregory Okonma, was caught on camera urging fans to break down a barrier to get access to the Scoot Inn, which was already at full capacity.

Tyler, The Creator's Rap Group Odd Future Banned From New Zealand

Rapper Tyler, the Creator and his group Odd Future have been banned from entering New Zealand for this weekend's Rapture Festival.

The group was set to perform at the weekend festival, held in the Capital city of Auckland on Feb. 15 & 16, but their visas were revoked shortly before they were to arrive.

A statement from the New Zealand Immigration Service said that they have "reason to believe" that the group poses a "threat or risk to public order or the public interest."

Tyler, the Creator tweeted his disappointment over the snub, but says there's no love lost for the country.

Kanye West's Yeezus tour might be stalled due to production problems, but that's not keeping the rapper from the stage.

He joined Odd Future at their gig at the Odd Future Carnival in Los Angeles on Saturday night (09Nov13) and performed his tunes Late and Black Skinhead with Tyler The Creator and his group.

West's tour is scheduled to restart on 16 November (13) after he scrapped a series of dates following a traffic accident involving a truck carrying his equipment to a concert on 30 October (13).

PepsiCo has pulled a controversial online commercial for Mountain Dew over claims that it portrays racist stereotypes and misogyny.

The ad features Odd Future rapper Tyler, the Creator as the voice of a goat named Felicia, who threatens a woman about pick him out of a police lineup with bodily harm.

"Snitches get stitches fool," the goat says at one point.

The ad appears to make light of violence towards women, as the woman wears a neck brace and has several cuts on her face, obviously from being attacked by the goat, who also says, ""Keep ya mouth shut."

Lana Del Rey has sparked rumors of a collaboration with rapper Tyler, The Creator after the pair struck up a bizarre friendship on Twitter.com.

The odd couple recently began sending messages to each other on the social networking site, with the Odd Future star writing, "Just found out Lana Del Ray (sic) wanted to work with me. Had no idea. If your (sic) reading this I'm down, I have pretty instrumentals."

The Video Games hit-maker replied by telling him, "You're Number 1."

Tyler, The Creator has reportedly handed over approximately $8,000 to the owners of a Los Angeles nightclub to cover damages from a gig in December.

The hip-hop star played with his band Odd Future at the Roxy Theatre on Sunset Boulevard, but the rapper was led away in handcuffs at the end of the show after he was arrested for allegedly lashing out at a soundman and destroying stage equipment.

He was left facing a vandalism charge over the incident, but has now made amends with the venue owners by paying for the damage, according to TMZ.com.
