Noel Gallagher: 'Nothing Anybody Does Can Be As Big As Oasis'

4/1/2012 5:01pm EDT

Noel Gallagher is convinced his solo career will never reached the same heights as his time with Oasis.

The British rocker penned most of the songs which made his former band one of the world's biggest rock acts during the mid-1990s.

His solo act, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, proved a hit with fans after his debut record reached the top of the U.K. charts last year.

However, he's adamant nothing he or any of his rock peers do now will ever be as successful as the now-defunct group.

In an interview with Mark Lawson for the BBC, he says, "Nothing anybody does can be as big as Oasis...
