Oasis big announcement expected on Wednesday

Oasis have teased fans with a big announcement alert after posting a cryptic message on their Facebook.com page.

The group split in 2009 and bandmate brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher have been estranged ever since, taking it in turns to bash each other in the press and dismiss talk of a 2014 reunion to mark the 20th anniversary of the release of Oasis' breakthrough album Definitely Maybe.

But a month after the band made its full back catalogue available on various music streaming services, there's a big announcement brewing on Wednesday at 9am (GMT).

The man behind Oasis has invited new acts to hand him their demo tapes as he DJs at a new nightclub in Liverpool, England this weekend (06Sep13).

Alan McGee, the former boss of Creation Records, is keen to build his roster at 359 Music and he wants unsigned bands and artists to approach him as he spins records at District nightclub with a view to joining his label.
