“HAIL my MotorCity boy KidRock for saving all those muledeer elk & livestock by whacking this magnificent mountain lion,” Nugent wrote Jan 3. on Facebook, along with photos from their hunting expedition.

“I can hear the braindead squawkers already with their obscene denial that killing lions is wrong,” he added. “It's legal, it's necessary, it's good, it's beneficial, it's a damn riot!”

On Thursday, Ted Nugent's wife Shemane Deziel was arrested at Dallas/Fort Worth Airport after TSA screeners found a handgun in her carry-on luggage.

According to, Deziel reportedly forgot she had the loaded firearm when she passed through airport security. She purportedly carried it for personal protection after receiving death threats.

Security discovered the Smith & Wesson .38 special revolver on an X-ray monitor. When police inspected her bag, they realized the gun was loaded with five rounds of ammunition. She had an extra 10 rounds packed in a side pocket of her bag.

Rocker and outdoorsman Ted Nugent has pleaded guilty to violating an environmental protection law by failing to kill a black bear he injured while shooting his reality TV show in Alaska.

The singer phoned in his plea during a U.S. District Court hearing in Ketchikan on Tuesday.

Nugent has agreed to pay a $10,000 fine and he had been forbidden from hunting in Alaska or any U.S. national forest for a year.

The judge ruled that the rocker must also film a public service announcement about responsible hunting.

Rocker Ted Nugent has agreed a plea deal with prosecutors to avoid jail time for illegally killing a bear during a hunting trip.

The singer, who is an avid hunter, was accused of illegally killing a black bear during an outing on Alaska's Sukkwan Island in 2009 and transporting the dead creature out of the region.

The incident, which was filmed for his reality TV show Ted Nugent Spirit of the Wild, led to criminal charges and Nugent has now reached an agreement with prosecutors to plead guilty to one count of transporting an illegally hunted bear, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Rocker Ted Nugent has been fined $1,750 after pleading no contest to illegally baiting deer on his hunting reality TV show.

The Cat Scratch Fever singer, a fanatical hunter, was seen using a deer attractant to coax two wild animals in California - where baiting is illegal - on his show Sprirt of the Wild in February.

He originally faced 11 charges, including killing a deer too young to be hunted. However, after a deal at a Yuba court on Friday, Nugent entered no contest pleas to two misdemeanour charges of baiting two deer and was handed the fine.
