Stevie Nicks Says Lindsay Lohan 'Will Never Play Me Until She Gets Serious'

May 3rd, 2011 11:32pm EDT
Stevie Nicks
Rocker Stevie Nicks insists she'll never give Lindsay Lohan the OK to play her in a biopic - until she proves her worth as a serious actress.

Lohan has expressed an interest in portraying the Fleetwood Mac singer, but Nicks wants the actress to prove she's no longer a mess first.

The singer tells CNN.com, "That's never going to happen unless she cleans up her life and becomes the great actress I feel she can be."

But Nicks insists that doesn't mean she's not a fan of the Mean Girls star, who has spent the last 18 months jumping between jail and rehab after a series of personal lows.

She...

Stevie Nicks Relates To Bella Swan From 'Twilight'

April 27th, 2011 8:40am EDT
Stevie Nicks
Stevie Nicks has become an unlikely fan of the "Twilight" franchise after identifying with the heartache suffered by Kristen Stewart's lonely character in the vampire movies.

The Fleetwood Mac star admits she has been hooked on the film adaptations of Stephenie Meyer's hit books ever since she saw 2009's "The Twilight Saga: New Moon," and she feels an affinity with Bella Swan over her romance with vampire Edward Cullen, played by Robert Pattinson.

Nicks tells Harper's Bazaar magazine, "I saw New Moon when I was on tour with Fleetwood Mac. When Bella just sat there in the window, crying fo...

Dianna Agron
Dianna Agron was moved to tears when Stevie Nicks visited the Glee set earlier this month after the singer delivered a moving speech about the importance of music in schools.

The actress and her co-stars were left awestruck when the Fleetwood Mac legend arrived for a day on the set of the high school series last week.

Nicks revealed to the cast she would have been a teacher had she not been a musician - and Agron was overcome with emotion when the star gave her motivating talk.

She tells Entertainment Tonight, "We had the pleasure of Stevie Nicks being on set... she kind of made us al...

Stevie Nicks: 'The Internet Has Destroyed Rock'

August 25th, 2010 12:30pm EDT
Stevie Nicks
Stevie Nicks is convinced the internet has "destroyed" rock 'n' roll because young bands are no longer given the chance to develop if they don't achieve instant success.

The Fleetwood Mac singer is vehemently opposed to the expansion of the internet, blaming the growth of the online music industry for stifling upcoming talent and discouraging youngsters from socializing with their peers.

She tells the New York Daily News, "The internet has destroyed rock. Children no longer develop social graces. They don't hang out anymore. I'm financially stable. I'm OK. But what about the kids trying...

Naomi Judd Calls Taylor Swift A 'Dazzling Performer' & Role Model

February 10th, 2010 8:32am EST
Naomi Judd
Country music veteran-turned-activist Naomi Judd has thrown her support behind Taylor Swift after the young singer was heavily criticized for her performance with Stevie Nicks at the Grammy Awards.

Swift's off-key duet with the Fleetwood Mac star has been put down to nerves and sound problems onstage at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, and Judd - the mother of actress Ashley and country singer Wynonna - has the four-time Grammy winner's back.

In a letter to the editor of The Tennessean, Judd, calls Swift a "dazzling performer" and attributes Swift's less-than-perfect Grammy performa...

Unexpected, Untimely And Shocking Deaths In Music

July 1st, 2009 11:15am EDT
Shocking music deaths
Heart attacks. Plane crashes. Car crashes. Drug overdoses. Murder. Over the years, these have become some of the most common causes of the often shocking deaths in the music industry. On a lighter note, some might argue that even ham sandwiches have been involved.

Regardless of the cause, take a look back at these musical icons that have left us way, way, way too soon - yet have left us with legacies that will live on forever. The majority of these deaths, in addition to being sudden and shocking, were in some way either ironic or just completely messed up. Rock on...

Overrated & Underrated Pop Duets

October 3rd, 2008 10:11am EDT
Paul McCartney/Stevie Wonder
Sometimes one just ain't enough.

That's a line, okay an amended line, from the rarest of rock treats - the duet. Everyone loves when two pop icons team up for a single. It's just like those rare occasions when two solo wrestlers join forces for a super tag-team.

Just like its brethren in the WWE the results for pop duets are often much less than the sum of their parts. Still, each duet holds a special spot, or two, in the minds of music fans.

So it's easy to say that all duets are overrated isn't it? Well, that would be the case if it weren't for the fact that so many gr...

Celebrity Horoscope: Gemini

Angelina Jolie
Gemini (May 22-June 21) are said to have a dual nature. The astrological symbol for Gemini is the Roman numeral for two, representing twins and duality.

Twin sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are Geminis. Last year the 21-year-old power duo earned $17 million, and they are planning on releasing a coffee table book about their fashion inspirations.

Gemini can be fickle. Those born under this sign represent the yin and the yang, or the law of opposites. It can be no coincidence that Anne Heche is a Gemini. She famously dated Ellen DeGeneres but later married a man. She di...
