Willie Nelson's armadillo has been reunited with its owner. But before you call PETA about possible animal abuse, the armadillo is a stuffed mascot and has been kidnapped once before.

The armadillo went missing following a concert in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Monday. The stage prop was gone when crew members packed up equipment following a show at the Westin Lake Las Vegas resort.

Country music veteran Willie Nelson has been reunited with his stuffed armadillo mascot after it went missing following a concert in Las Vegas on Monday (31Mar14).

The Always on my Mind hitmaker's crew members realised the stage prop had disappeared as they packed up after the singer's gig at the Westin Lake Las Vegas resort, and asked venue bosses to scour surveillance videos in a bid to find the culprit who grabbed the keepsake.

Willie Nelson and late blues legend Stevie Ray Vaughan and his band Double Trouble will be the inaugural inductees into the Austin City Limits Hall of Fame in Texas.

Organisers of the TV concert series have set up the Hall of Fame to mark the 40th anniversary of the Austin City Limits programme.

Show creator Bill Arhos will also be inducted alongside Nelson and Vaughan at a gala on 29 April (14).

Buddy Guy, Lyle Lovett, Emmylou Harris and Nelson's son Lukas will perform at the event.

The first Hall of Fame honourees all have Texas roots.

Willie Nelson has cancelled an upcoming performance at Florida's SeaWorld attraction following criticism from animal rights activists.

The country music legend was due to perform at the Orlando sea park next year as part of the venue's Bands, Brew & BBQ events, but organizers have now confirmed he has pulled out.

Nelson's cancellation has been blamed on "scheduling conflicts", according to SeaWorld bosses.

Country music legend Willie Nelson has cancelled his tour indefinitely after his tour bus crashed.

The 80-year-old singer was not on board the vehicle when it hit a bridge outside of Sulphur Springs, Texas, at around 3.30am Saturday morning, but two of his band members and a crew member were injured in the collision.

A statement on Willie's facebook page read: "No one suffered serious injuries. Paul English injured his ankle, Billy English suffered a bruised hip and crew member Tom Hawkins has a cracked rib.

Country star Tompall Glaser has died at the age of 79.

The singer passed away at his Nashville, Tennessee home on Tuesday (13Aug13) after battling a long, undisclosed illness.

Born Thomas Paul Glaser, he embarked on a career in music with his two brothers, Chuck and Jim, during the 1950s.

They left their home in Nebraska for Nashville after receiving an offer to sing back-up for Marty Robbins, and he soon signed them to his Robbins Records label as Tompall & The Glaser Brothers.

Country music legend Willie Nelson scrapped an appearance at a fundraiser in Colorado on Sunday after he was taken to the hospital.

The 79 year old was due to go to the Dumb Friends League event at the Castle Pines Village in Denver but pulled out after suffering breathing problems due to emphysema.

He was taken to a nearby hospital for checks, according to TMZ.com.

A rep for the event told the crowd that Nelson was "suffering from breathing problems due to the high altitude and emphysema."

Nelson was honored at Rock The Earth's Seventh Annual Planet Defender Awards on Monday. The prize is given out to those who have made a difference protecting the planet.

Country legend Willie Nelson is to be honored in Austin, Texas with a new bronze statue.

The sculpture of the singer/songwriter will be unveiled at 4:20 p.m. on April 20 - a reference to the cultural significance of the 4/20 pro-marijuana movement, of which Nelson is a fervent supporter.

The larger-than-life likeness will stand over eight feet tall and weigh more than a ton. It was created by sculptor Clete Shields.

A judge has refused to approve a plea deal reducing Willie Nelson's drug charges following a marijuana bust last year.

The country icon was arrested on suspicion of marijuana possession in November after a Border Patrol agent in Texas smelled pot smoke during a search of Nelson's tour bus.

Nelson reportedly struck a deal with prosecutors allowing him to plead no contest to a reduced charge of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, which he did last month, and pay a $500 fine and $280 in court costs.

Country icon Willie Nelson has been ordered to pay a $500 fine following his drug bust last year.

The singer was arrested for marijuana possession in November after a Border Patrol agent in Texas smelled pot smoke during a routine search of Nelson's tour bus.

He was reported to have reached a plea deal with Hudspeth County prosecutors in March, allowing him to plead guilty and hand over a small fine without having to appear in court.
