Rumors were everywhere last week that Ne-Yo and his girlfriend Crystal Renay had gotten married in a secret ceremony. According to Us Weekly, it turns out those rumors weren’t quite right… but they were close!

Here’s the real scoop- Ne-Yo and Crystal aren’t married already, but they will be soon! And on top of that, they’ll be having a baby! During Sunday night’s VMAs, Ne-Yo took the time to send out a pic of Crystal on Instagram (he also made an appearance during the show, to introduce a performance by Tori Kelly).

6/20/2015 9:00am EDT
The Best Music Videos Of 2015 (So Far)
What does every good music single need? A stunning visual – a gripping music video – to accentuate and accompany the music of course! While music videos on television seem to be a thing of the past, they are still incredibly popular online. All of the videos that grace this list have racked up millions of views on YouTube alone. Choosing just 20 out of a beaucoup of videos is arduous, but here are some of the standouts as of yet in 2015.

Some of the songs actually bowed in 2014, but they weren’t released as a single until 2015 or the video arrived in 2015.

21 Songs You Don’t Wanna ‘Run’ From!
Some music turns you off the first time you hear it makes you wanna run from it, never to be annoyed or turned off by it again. And then there’s the good stuff, those songs that you would never, ever run from. This list is filled with the good stuff – songs that you embrace, and spin over and over on your iPod. Here are 21 songs you don’t wanna ‘run’ from!

1) Pink Floyd, “Run Like Hell” (The Wall, 1979)

Doesn’t the title say it all, honestly? “Run, Run, Run… you better run all day / and run all night.” It’s like “Run Forrest, runnnnn!”

2) Kelly Clarkson featuring John Legend, “...

Songs That Are Crazy!

15 Songs With The Word Crazy - The Craziest Songs Ever!
Some songs are sane while others are bleeping CRAZY! There is no sanity to be found here as these are the craziest songs ever, like “forever ever.” Well… maybe it’s a slight exaggeration, but you can’t have crazy songs without embracing your own inner craziness – that’s gospel truth right there! Here are 14 of the craziest songs ever.

1) Paul Simon, “Still Crazy After All These Years” (Still Crazy After All These Years, 1975)

Paul, we don’t think you’re the least bit crazy, unless it’s a ‘crazy good accomplished veteran musician that is! When you hear “Still Crazy After All These Year...

Review: Ne-Yo Lacks Inspiration And Punch On 'Non-Fiction'

2/2/2015 4:30pm EST
One question – what happened to the old Ne-Yo? The R&B singer/songwriter had a magnificent run between debut album In My Own Words and third album, Year of the Gentlemen. Since Gentleman though, Ne-Yo has lost some of his luster. Sure, fourth album Libra Scale was sound, but didn’t receive the same recognition as previous efforts. Fifth album, Red would become the most flawed of his career, despite standouts like “Lazy Love” and “Let Me Love You (Until You Learn To Love Yourself).” Similarly, sixth album Non-Fiction suffers from its share of flaws.

Non-Fiction begins in off-putting fashio...

Ne-Yo Leads Albums To Check Out: This Week in Music
January 2015 has been a ‘louder’ musical month than anticipated. Music listeners have been bestowed more audio gifts than an usually available, so give a slow music industry credit. Hey, what would January 2K15 be without the “No Flex Zone” of hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd (Sremmlife), the “Uptown Funk” of Mark Ronson (Uptown Special), or “Lips Are Movin” courtesy of Meghan Trainor? Think about it!

This week isn’t nearly as dynamic as last week, but that doesn’t mean there are no interesting or notable albums to partake of. In a ‘slower’ week than last, R&B singer/songwriter Ne-Yo is definit...

What Albums Should You Be Looking Forward To In January?

1/1/2015 1:00pm EST
9 Highly Anticipated January Albums
In the dead of January, some artists and record labels seek to rollout some new albums to keep folks musically stimulated. It’s a splendid idea considering nothing big seems to go down after the Holiday season – absolutely nothing. Still, there are nine brave souls looking to leave their mark early in 2015.

1) Rae Sremmurd, Sremmlife (Interscope, January 6)

The southern hip-hop duo has two notable hits in “No Flex Zone” and second single “No Type.” Recently, a third single, “Throw Sum Mo” featuring Nicki Minaj and Young Thug was unveiled to the world.

2) Meghan Trainor, Title (E...

12 Songs For Lovers – A Soundtrack That Will Boost Any Relationship

10/26/2013 4:00pm EDT
Janelle featuring Miguel primetime
Love songs can be so touching and certainly can propel any relationship (and in some cases hookups).  I have constructed a list of 12 ‘love’ songs that have the emotional and physical connection between lovers in mind… or something like that!  I attempted to make some narrative, but like most soundtracks, they’re all over the place anyways!

Track 1

Raheem DeVaughn, “Complicated”

(A Place Called Love Land)

As we know, no one relationship is ‘cut and dry’ by any means; all are their own diverse entity.  Among Raheem DeVaughn’s best tracks on his underrated indie-R&B album A Place Called L...

Ne-Yo Caught Up In Legal Trouble With His Ex

12/24/2012 12:39pm EST
R&B singer Ne-Yo has been caught up in legal trouble with his ex after allegedly breaking their confidentiality agreement.

The "So Sick" hitmaker initially believed he fathered a child with his former lover Jesseca White and he turned over $575,000 in custodial support in 2009.

A paternity test later confirmed the 33 year old was not the child's biological parent and they reportedly reached a settlement banning both parties from discussing the matter with the press.

But Ne-Yo, real name Shaffer Smith, opened up about the ordeal during an interview with VH1's Behind the Music in September...

Ne-Yo Snubbed Martin Luther King, Jr. Role Over Weight Gain

7/23/2012 9:18am EDT
R&B star Ne-Yo turned down the opportunity to play Martin Luther King, Jr. in a new movie after film bosses asked him to gain 30 pounds for the role.

The singer/actor, who has previously appeared in big screen blockbusters including Battle: Los Angeles and Red Tails, is preparing to release new album R.E.D. and he wasn't willing to gain weight to play the civil rights activist before his music promotion geared up.

He tells Britain's Sunday Mirror, "I definitely want to do more acting but it's got to make sense with the music. I recently had to turn down an amazing opportunity to be in a...

'The Voice' Recap: The Final Battles Have Surprising Results

3/27/2012 1:07am EDT
The Voice
We're down to the last battle rounds on The Voice. The last chance for hopeful artists to grab a spot in the live shows. (Can you believe we're headed into the last phase of the competition already? How time flies when you're singing your heart out!)

The night kicks off with Team Cee Lo: Wade vs. James Massone, with Cyndi Lauper's "True Colors." On first instinct, this might be a mismatch. But it wouldn't be the first time The Voice turns something that doesn't blatantly match into something special. James has his nerves get the better of him, and hesitates in first rehearsal, then ...

'The Voice' Recap: Week 3's Battle Rounds Give '102 Percent'

3/20/2012 1:00am EDT
The Voice
We're now halfway through battle rounds on The Voice. There have been some fantastic battles so far - so who's next?

Well, that'd be Team Adam (yay!). My coach gets right down to business, matching Pip vs. Nathan Parrett, and sending them off with Amy Winehouse's "You Know I'm No Good." Nathan is a little intimidated by the fact that Pip got all four coaches to turn for him, which is understandable, but kind of hilarious because in practice, Pip thinks Adam might be favoring Andrew, so it all evens out. Pip gets to work with Alanis, while Nathan gets Robin Thicke. The latter result...

'The Voice' Recap: Season 2's First Battle Rounds Make A Huge Statement

3/6/2012 1:06am EST
The Voice
The chairs are done turning, and now it's time to go to battle. We start season two battle rounds this week on The Voice, and just like last season, they are both beautiful and painful. They're great because we get some absolutely wonderful duets, but they hurt because we have to say goodbye to half the artists.

Team Adam leads off, and the first battle pairing of season two is Tony Lucca vs. Chris Cauley. "You guys are going to be singing in harmony and secretly trying to destroy each other," Adam says, which is both hilarious and accurate. He gives them U2's hit (and sometimes o...

He tells WENN, "We would just crack on each other. During the bootcamp there was no TV or cellphone, no iPod, so at night all we had was us in this itty-bitty room and we'd just sit up and talk about each other.

11/8/2011 3:27pm EST
Rapper Pitbull is countersuing Lindsay Lohan over a defamation lawsuit she filed against him, insisting his reference to her legal problems in the lyrics of hit single Give Me Everything is justified considering her recent multiple jail stints.

In the suit, filed in August, the Mean Girls star accused Pitbull of exploiting her name in the tune, in which he rhymes, "Hustlers move aside, so I'm tiptoeing, keep flowin'/I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan."

New Jessica Simpson Photos Further Fuel Pregnancy Rumors

Jessica Simpson pregnant?
We spotted Jessica Simpson leaving an office yesterday wearing a loose black dress and a jean jacket. Does the star look pregnant? Or perhaps a gust of wind made her tummy look rounder?

The actress/pop star has neither confirmed nor denied she's expecting a baby. Rumors started circulating in September after she refused to toast her fiance Eric Johnson at his birthday party. The couple plan to wed in November. Perhaps we'll hear an official announcement afterwards?

Meanwhile, several other celebrities are very open about their upcoming babies, including Beyonce and Hilary Duff. Other star...
