Nazareth is a hard rock band that formed in Dunfermline, Scotland in 1968 and was successful in the United Kingdom until the 1975 album “Hair of the Dog” brought them international success. Best-known for their cover of the ballad “Love Hurts,” the band has been able to maintain moderate success through 2012. The band's beginning can be traced back to the demise of the another band, The Shadettes, which included vocalist Dan McCafferty, guitarist Manny Charlton, bassist Pete Agnew, and drummer Darrell Sweet.
