Nappy Roots are an alternative rap quintet that hail from Bowling Green, Kentucky, and formed in 1995. The group is well known for their hit singles: “Po' Folks,” “Awnaw,” “Roun' The Globe” and “Good Day.” The group currently consists of Milledgeville, Fish Scales, Skinny DeVille, B. Stille, Ron Clutch, and Big V. Oakland. Nappy Roots exploded onto the rap/hip-hop scene with their debut album, “Country Fried Cess” in 1999, which resulted in an offer from Atlantic Records.
