Review: Jason Mraz Delivers With Incredible Poise On 'Yes!'

July 16th, 2014 10:50am EDT
Jason Mraz - Yes
“So I won’t hesitate no more, no more / it cannot wait I’m sure / there’s no need to complicate / our time is short / this is our fate, I’m yours.” Sound familiar? It should as pop singer/songwriter Jason Mraz has elevated his profile considerably over the last couple of years, namely with one hella catchy song entitled “I’m Yours.” Mraz’s last two albums, We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things (2008) and Love is A Four Letter Word (2012), were both “kind of a big deal.” The former landed Mraz two Grammys. Score!

Mraz returns with fifth album, Yes! following a two-year hiatus. Mraz’s lat...

Tim Mahoney
Here's the latest on and around NBC's The Voice: I shine the spotlight on Minnesota native Tim Mahoney, the soulful singer whose talent got a huge boost when Adam Levine thought he was a girl.

Crowned the "King of Almost" on the series for his persistent attempts to make it big in the music business, Tim left his mark on The Voice instantly and by complete accident. His rendition of "Bring It On Home To Me" won over the front man of Maroon 5 in blind auditions, but Adam bashfully admitted that he turned around thinking that Tim was of the female persuasion. One of The Voice's most...

Demi Lovato 'Here We Go Again' Album Review & Music Video

Demi Lovato Here We Go Again review
Like Britney Spears before her, Demi Lovato pretty much admits in the title of her sophomore album that she's serving up more of the same the second time around, but unlike Britney, that may not have been Demi's intention.

For Here We Go Again, Lovato makes a relatively clean break from the Jonas Brothers, who penned much of her debut, Don't Forget, drafting sensitive AAA singer/songwriters Jon McLaughlin and John Mayer presumably to give Lovato a bit of mature veneer, a subtle shift buried underneath the relentlessly cheerful Radio Disney production and Lovato's irrepressible spunk.
