Motorhead Push Back European Tour Until 2014

October 30th, 2013 9:29am EDT
Motorhead
Motorhead have canceled all European tour dates until next year in a bid to allow frontman Lemmy to fully recover from ongoing health issues.

The 76 year-old singer has been off the road since undergoing heart surgery and suffering a "severe hematoma" earlier this year, prompting the band to scrap a number of concerts.

Lemmy tried to return to the stage at a music festival in Germany back in August but had to cut the set short due to being too weak to continue.

Now, the Ace of Spades rockers have decided to cancel all dates until February so he has time to return to full fitness.

Rockers Motorhead have warned fans against buying a $600 box set, insisting they are not behind the costly compilation.

The 15-disc collection, housed in a fake skull with red light-up eyes, features eight early albums, as well as singles, posters and a photo book.

The group's loyal fans took to internet forums to bemoan the high price, but Motorhead are adamant they do not endorse the release, put out by a company which owns the rights to the band's early recordings.

A statement from the band reads, "Motorhead have no control over what's done with these early songs, and don't want fa...

When we last left the “Supernatural” universe, Sam and Dean were careening towards the Leviathan-infested hospital via ambulance—Sam was seizing with a head injury, Dean with bloodily broken leg, and Bobby presumed dead.

Slickly directed by series’ star Jensen Ackles, “The Girl Next Door” was thankfully easier on my fangirl heart. It began mere minutes after last week’s cliffhanger with the brothers arriving at Sioux Falls General. Dean, a fighter to the end, tried to climb off the gurney and find his brother. His doctor explained that Sam had “bashed his head quite seriously.” Forge...

Motorhead rocker Lemmy has become the latest star to turn his attentions to wine-making - he's launched his own Shiraz.

The heavy metal musician piloted the beverage in Sweden last year, selling 120,000 bottles of the alcohol - and now he's set to sell it in the U.K.

Lemmy says the wine has been "hitting Scandinavia like a Lancaster bomber," but warns his fans: "Approach it with caution. I mean, wine is deceptive, anything could happen."

Ewen Cameron, from Great Wine Online, which will be selling the Shiraz in Britain, adds, "Just like Lemmy, it can survive just about anything."

Lemmy
Hard-living heavy rocker Lemmy has played down reports he has bedded over 2,000 women, insisting he has probably had only 1,000 sexual partners.

The Motorhead frontman was asked to come up with a realistic figure as part of a new interview for Nylon magazine, and the 65 year old claims he's probably had at least once-weekly sex for the past 50 years - but not always with different partners.

He says, "If you think about it, man, it's (1,000 sexual partners) quite reasonable. I'm 65 and I've never been married, right? So if you work it out it's probably about one a week, which isn't too bad...
