Melissa Joan Hart and Mandy Moore marked America's Mother's Day on Sunday by reaching out to the women who lost children in the Connecticut school massacre.

The actresses took a moment to sign an e-card to pledge support to the Sandy Hook Promise group, which supports families affected by the elementary school shooting in December which left 20 children and six adults dead.

In a post on her Twitter.com page, Moore writes, "Just signed sandy hook's card supporting Moms of Gun Violence victims on Mothers Day. You can too", while Hart posted a similar message.

The Tangled star has landed the leading lady role in upcoming series Us and Them, a light-hearted take on family conflicts.

The show will revolve around Moore's character, a young newlywed named Annie, and her husband Ben, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Singer/actress Mandy Moore is helping the fight against malaria in Africa by handing out mosquito nets to try to combat the disease.

The pop star flew to Cameroon last week with representatives from global health organization Population Services International (PSI), for which she acts as an ambassador, as well as the U.N. Foundation's Nothing But Nets campaign.

Singer/actress Mandy Moore is still waiting to be whisked away on honeymoon by her rocker beau Ryan Adams, 20 months after becoming his wife.

The couple eloped in March 2009 after a whirlwind romance, but the 26 year old admits they never took the time to fly off for a romantic vacation to celebrate their nuptials.
