Beyoncé and her younger sister Solange Knowles, 27, threw their mother a private masquerade ball at Muriel's Jackson Square in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The 32-year-old 'XO' hitmaker and rapper husband Jay Z snuck in the side door of the upscale eatery, while a marching band led Solange and Tina into the event after they arrived in elaborate horse-drawn carriages, according to gossip website TMZ.com.

The Angel of Mine hitmaker is weeks away from welcoming her first child with basketball star husband Shannon Brown, and she threw a special bash ahead of the big day.

The Angel of Mine hitmaker and her basketball ace husband Shannon Brown are expecting their first child together later this year (13).

The 32 year old announced the exciting news on Twitter.com on America's Mother's Day (12May13) by uploading a photo of her burgeoning baby bump, alongside a caption which read, "5months & counting #excited".

Monica already has two kids from a previous relationship with rapper Rocko, sons Rodney, seven, and Romelo, five.

R&B star Monica has given birth to a baby boy. The Boy Is Mine singer and her producer boyfriend Rodney 'Rock' Hill, Jr. welcomed Romello Montez Hill into the world on Tuesday at a hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.

The tot weighed in at five pounds and six ounces, and both mother and baby are doing fine, according to Monica's manager/cousin Melinda Dancil.

The couple also has a two-year-old son, Rodney Ramone Hill.
