Stars Line Up For Australian Bushfire Benefit

Coldplay, Kings of Leon, Jack Johnson and reformed rockers Midnight Oil are to perform simultaneous charity shows in Sydney and Melbourne, Australia, to benefit the victims of the recent bush fires and floods Down Under.

The acts will take to stages set up at Sydney Cricket Ground and Melbourne Cricket Ground for the Sound Relief shows on March 14th. Rockers Jet and Wolfmother will play both venues.

Midnight Oil isn't the only band reforming for the shows - Icehouse and Split Enz will also perform. All proceeds from the concerts will be donated to the Red Cross Victorian Bushfi...

June 18, 2007 -- Australian trio Silverchair has announced their first full North American tour since 1999. The dates will be in support of the band's new album Young Modern which will street on July 24 in the US and Canada on Eleven: a music company through Warner Music Group's Independent Label Group.

Crowded House Bump Jack Johnson To Headline 'Live Earth' In Sydney

Reformed rockers Crowded House have bumped Jack Johnson from the headlining spot at Sydney, Australia's Live Earth concert after confirming they'll perform at the eco-friendly fundraiser.

Surf rocker Johnson confirmed he'd perform at the Sydney show this July with another reunited Antipodean act, Midnight Oil, last month, but he has been forced to step down from headlining.

Crowded House announced they'd headline the event yesterday - just two days after a triumphant comeback performance at California's Coachella Festival.

Surfing rocker Jack Johnson is set to end his year-long hiatus by headlining the Sydney, Australia leg of Live Earth concerts this summer. The singer/songwriter will join reformed rockers Midnight Oil, Crowded House and Silverchair at the July 7th concert, held in conjunction with similar events in London, New Jersey, Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo.
