Moby: 'Rock Stars Are A Pain In The Ass'

4/6/2011 9:18am EDT
Moby
Moby has ruled out any more big name collaborations, insisting he can no longer tolerate the "arrogance" of superstars.

The hitmaker has recorded tracks with a whole host of A-list artists but admits he's fed up dealing with egos and entourages and would rather make music with his friends.

He tells OK! TV, "I've worked with all sorts of random people - everybody from Metallica to Britney Spears to Ozzy Osbourne to Michael Jackson to the Beastie Boys. I've got a really strange CV. It's interesting - I work with a lot of these disparate, different people to learn what it's like to work with...

The eruption of a volcano in Iceland at the end of March meant the following month was dogged by stories of stranded stars as a giant ash cloud swept over northern Europe and closed airports across the continent.

California's Coachella festival was under threat as a number of acts canceled their slots when they were unable to fly out to the U.S.

Several movie premieres were also affected in the chaos - the "Iron Man 2" red carpet event in London was moved to Los Angeles when stars including Robert Downey, Jr. were unable to jet to Britain. Miley Cyrus also scrapped plans to unveil her fil...

The rockers have confirmed the incident happened but the bandmates insist reports of the girl being kicked into the audience are ridiculous.

He re-launched his career in 2004 when he was hired as an adviser for Facebook.com and he is portrayed by Timberlake in new film The Social Network, which chronicles the early days of the website.

Metallica regret airing their problems in 2004 movie Some Kind Of Monster, insisting they were "stupid" to go public with therapy sessions and band disputes.

He says, "Every time I see Noel Gallagher he quotes lines from that movie back to me. That thing has taken on a life of its own. I had to live that s**t for three fucking years. The whole thing was a mindf**k. I am aware a lot of other ...

Their latest offering, 'Guitar Gangsters and Cadillac Blood' is steadily picking up steam worldwide, and is garnering the band their fair share of airtime here in the states.

Johann Urb Talks '2012,' 'Eastwick,' And What It Was Like Playing A Gay 'Porn Star'

We chatted with Johann Urb, star of "Eastwick" and "2012," and found his view on life fascinating. Originally from Estonia, we discussed his roots and interests, his movie and TV work, but somehow we often went off on a tangent that we think you will enjoy as much as we did.

I watched "Eastwick" so I could get a glimpse of you before the interview. You were such a Clark Kent.

Oh, thank you! I get a lot of that. When we were shooting the pilot, Lindsay Price's mom came to visit and she goes, "You look like Superman blond." So that's my nickname. I think it's kind of funny.

Lucky for them - and everyone else here - Georgia's own Collective Soul had agreed to put on a free concert in the heart of the revitalized downtown Atlanta. This would be one of those shows for which the planets would align: the weather was perfecto, the sounds were exquisite, and the SEC fans were all amenable (even the Hokies, who would soon experie...

Spotlight On Director Werner Herzog

Werner Herzog
Werner Herzog is the kind of director that Quentin Tarantino used to be. Remember the nineties, when 'Pulp Fiction' had just exploded like a hydrogen bomb in Hollywood, and all of your asshole friends were so proud because they knew who Tarantino was before you ever did? Herzog is like that, except he's been that way for about forty years, balanced on the hinge of superstardom, but never quite tipping it. He's the indie rockstar who never signs a label because he's "too cool", like Green Day before "Poopie" or Metallica before "Load" or Tim Burton before "Sleepy Hollow". Like the characters...
