The rockers have confirmed the incident happened but the bandmates insist reports of the girl being kicked into the audience are ridiculous.

Pop star-turned-actor Justin Timberlake has sided with fallen Napster co-founder Sean Parker in the music downloading debate, admitting he would have used the file-sharing website had he not shot to fame.

Parker's music-sharing site was shut down in 2001 following a string of lawsuits from artists like Metallica and Dr. Dre, and several major record labels. He re-launched his career in 2004 when he was hired as an adviser for Facebook.com and he is portrayed by Timberlake in new film The Social Network, which chronicles the early days of the website.

Metallica regret airing their problems in 2004 movie Some Kind Of Monster, insisting they were "stupid" to go public with therapy sessions and band disputes.

Drummer Lars Ulrich admits the documentary has become the bane of his life - because all his rock star friends have seen it and now they know more about him and his bandmates than he'd like them to.

He says, "Every time I see Noel Gallagher he quotes lines from that movie back to me. That thing has taken on a life of its own. I had to live that s**t for three fucking years. The whole thing was a mindf**k. I am aware a lot of other ...

Spotlight On Director Werner Herzog

Werner Herzog is the kind of director that Quentin Tarantino used to be. Remember the nineties, when 'Pulp Fiction' had just exploded like a hydrogen bomb in Hollywood, and all of your asshole friends were so proud because they knew who Tarantino was before you ever did? Herzog is like that, except he's been that way for about forty years, balanced on the hinge of superstardom, but never quite tipping it. He's the indie rockstar who never signs a label because he's "too cool", like Green Day before "Poopie" or Metallica before "Load" or Tim Burton before "Sleepy Hollow". Like the characters...
