June 29th, 2014 4:45pm EDT
Metallica
Heavy metal legends Metallica made their debut at England's Glastonbury Festival on Saturday night, and to cap off day two of the festival the band brought over 200 fans on stage with them to view the set firsthand.

Organizers of the event came under fire for inviting the band to the annual music festival, as critics contended that the band's music is much too heavy and had no place amongst the usual mainstream pop and rock acts.

All those voices were silenced the moment the band took the stage for their crowd-pleasing headlining set.

"Metallica is grateful to be invited to such an event...

15 Greatest Songs By Metallica
Metallica is a heavy metal band to last through the ages, but they are mostly known for their older music. Here, we will celebrate all of it -- the best of the best, even through an era where their hardcore fans abandoned them. In the defense of the fans, the band cut their hair and totally deserved it!

These songs, my friends, are the best that Metallica had to offer -- even including some songs after the "Black" album!

1. "Jump In The Fire"

Metallica was hard hitting with their album "Kill 'Em All". The entire album thrashes and is worth a listen. This is vintage heavy metal, f...

To kick off our list, we will start with one of the best bands of the eighties. Def Leppard headed up the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal and steamrolled the United States with their first hit song here, "Bringin' On The Heartbreak". To followup their albums "On Through The Nig...
