Meat Leaf To Quit Touring Next Year

Veteran rocker Meat Loaf is hanging up his microphone next year after announcing his next tour will be his last.

The I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That) hit-maker will kick off Meat Loaf - The Farewell Tour in the U.K. next spring by playing his hit 1977 album Bat Out of Hell in its entirety at each stop.

In a post on Facebook.com, the Grammy winner writes, "I know the fans will enjoy the show as much as I enjoyed putting it together."

It is not yet known if the 65 year old, who battled vocal issues last year, will add other locations to his trek, which will currently begin...

Rocker Meat Loaf has become an unlikely fan of William Shakespeare, revealing he likes to act out scenes from the Bard's great plays in hotel rooms when he's on the road.

The "Bat Out of Hell" hitmaker admits Shakespeare didn't appeal to him when he was at school but now he never leaves home without his Complete Works.

He explains, "I read Hamlet twice in 2010 in Australia and I read The Two Gentlemen of Verona. I'd seen it before, but I never read it until that tour. I read Richard III.

Veteran rocker Meat Loaf was honored for his movie work when he was inducted into the Texas Film Hall of Fame at a special ceremony on Thursday.

The Bat Out of Hell singer has enjoyed several cinema and TV roles since the early 1970s, including his famous turn as biker Eddie in The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

He was inducted into the Film Hall of Fame in his native Texas at the awards ceremony in Austin on Thursday - and he showed his pride by making a rare prize-giving appearance.

Bob Seger To Receive Songwriters Hall Of Fame Honor

Veteran rocker Bob Seger is set to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame this summer.

The Grammy-winning star will join folk songwriter Gordon Lightfoot, country lyricist Don Schlitz and Meatloaf's Bat Out of Hell composer Jim Steinman in the class of 2012, while men behind

The Fantasticks musical, Harvey Schmidt and Tom Jones, will also be honored.

The stars will be inducted into the Hall of Fame during a special ceremony in New York on June 14th.

Last year's honorees included Garth Brooks, Leon Russell and Allen Toussaint.

Meat Loaf is disputing reports he passed out during a festival appearance in New Jersey at the weekend, insisting he took a moment to gulp down oxygen to control his asthma for a meet and greet with fans.

The rocker has posted a video message online to assure fans he's fine and that reports of a second fainting spell in the same week are greatly exaggerated - even though photos showed him lying on the ground backstage, hooked up to an oxygen tank.

Rocker Meat Loaf sparked fears for his health after collapsing onstage on Thursday night.

The Bat Out of Hell hit-maker was performing for fans in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania when he suddenly slumped to the floor and passed out.

In video footage obtained by TMZ.com, three stagehands can be seen rushing to help the stricken star, and he eventually recovered and finished the show, blaming the incident on an asthma attack.

Country star John Rich has been named the winner of The Celebrity Apprentice.

The singer saw off competition from Oscar-winner Marlee Matlin in a live finale on Sunday.

Host Donald Trump admitted he struggled with the decision, telling the contestants, "I've never had to go through something like this... You've both been amazing."

Rich picked up a $250,000 prize, which he has pledged to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

The series began with 16 celebrity competitors, including David Cassidy, Meat Loaf, Lil Jon, LaToya Jackson, Gary Busey and Mark McGrath.

Meat Loaf and his fellow "Celebrity Apprentice" contestants John Rich, Lil Jon and Mark McGrath have recorded a charity single together.

The quartet, who all competed on the current season of the reality show, will give the proceeds from sales of "Standing in the Storm" to the charities they have been raising cash and awareness for on Donald Trump's series.

The track will be released as a download via iTunes next week.

Meat Loaf, Lil Jon and Rich are still in the reality TV competition, while Sugar Ray star McGrath was 'fired' by Trump last month.

"Glee" creator Ryan Murphy is in talks to revamp cult 1975 movie "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" after paying tribute to the Richard O'Brien film on TV.
