Freddie McGregor was born June 27, 1956 in Clarendon, Jamaica and is a reggae singer, and record producer. At the age of 7 he began working and recording with Ernest Wilson and Peter Austin. The trio formed The Clarendonians and began to record for the Studio One record label. In 1975, McGregor converted to Rastafari and he later became a member of the Twelve Tribes organization. McGregor's rise to fame was catapulted in the early 1980s with the release of his single, “Bobby Bobylon.” McGregor's other hits include the singles, “Big Ship,” “Push Comes to Shove,” “Just Don't Want to Be Lonely” and “I Was Born a Winner.” McGregor toured extensively throughout the 1970s and...
