John Mayer has scored a second week at the top of the U.S. albums chart, despite selling only 65,000 copies of "Born & Raised" last week.

Adele's "21" holds at two on the new Billboard 200, while Regina Spektor lands the countdown's highest debut at three with "What We Saw From the Cheap Seats".

Also new to the top 10 this week: Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros' "Here" at five and Icelandic band Sigur Ros' "Valtari" at seven.

Singer John Mayer has been forced to scrap his upcoming tour and take an "indefinite break" from live performing after medics discovered a second granuloma on his vocal cord.

John Mayer has undergone throat surgery to remove a granuloma from just above his vocal cord.

The hitmaker made the announcement on his blog, revealing he is now "on complete vocal rest for a month or more."

Rocker John Mayer has canceled two upcoming shows and postponed his album release after falling sick with a throat problem.

The singer was due to perform with legendary crooner Tony Bennett at a show in Los Angeles, as well as at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas later this month.

Rocker John Mayer has become the latest star to take a hit in the Los Angeles housing market after selling his Pacific Palisades pad at a loss.

The singer/songwriter bought the sprawling home in 2006 for $1.75 million but he was unable to turn a profit on the property.

Mayer has sold the gated, two-story home for slightly less than $1.3 million, according to the Los Angeles Times.

John Mayer's hectic work schedule has forced him to delay plans for his own variety show, but the program is still "in development", according to a TV chief.

The rocker announced plans to enter the TV industry in 2009 after landing a deal with America's CBS network.
