Reactions To the 58th Annual Grammy Awards Winners
Ah another year and another Grammy Awards Ceremony – this year the 58th Annual Grammy Awards to be precise! The trend of this year’s Grammys is predictability. Some years there are plenty of surprises, but this year that wasn’t the case. Arguably, the biggest surprise was album of the year, though few will assert that a victorious Taylor Swift is unfathomable.

This year, every album of the year nominee was victorious, with Kendrick Lamar landing five awards, Alabama Shakes with four awards, Taylor Swift with three awards, and Chris Stapleton and The Weeknd both tied with two awards. So wit...

Are Musical Acts Not Paid For Super Bowl Appearances?

Beyonce, Bruno Mars, Coldplay Not Paid For Super Bowl 50 Appeara
Could it be true that Bruno Mars, Beyonce, Lady Gaga and Coldplay were not paid for their Super Bowl 50 appearances for the Pepsi Halftime Spectacular?

Yes, as the exposure given to the artists for their time on stage during the big game far outweighs what they could ever be paid for the performance.

As has always been the case, none of the artists that perform at the Super Bowl are ever paid.

According to Forbes, the increase in attention, social media mentions, larger fan bases and music sales are what push the entertainers over the edge more than a paycheck for the evening could.

Ah the Super Bowl – one of the most anticipated sporting events of the year! The main attraction is the football game that determines the champions of a grueling NFL season, but there’s more in play as well. For those who could care less about touchdowns, field goals, or interceptions, there’s always an assortment of new commercials to enjoy. And if the commercials don’t do it, there’s always the music. Honoring America with “America The Beautiful” and the National Anthem. And the crème de la crème – the halftime show.

So with the game done and the champions crowned, let’s focus on the m...

It was a good week to be a soundtrack, specifically the soundtrack to Furious 7. After ascending to the #2 spot on the Billboard 200 last week, Furious 7 sits atop the charts this week. The improvement in units from the previous week are quite substantial – 111,000 units this week versus 74,000 the previous week. Making Furious 7’s ascent on the Billboard 200 is what the soundtrack did on the Billboard Hot 100, namely “See You Again.”

Celebrities That Turn 30 In 2015
30 years seems like a long time ago… because it was. In 1985 our world was waist deep in the glories of the 80s. We had hair bands, Care Bears, Swatches, the birth of Super Mario Brothers – what more could you ask for?

Also that year Ronald Reagan was sworn in his second term as President of the United States, the Coca-Cola Company decided we needed a new Coke (which sucked) and Windows 1.0 was released.

1985 marked the big Live Aid world concerts and famous artists got together to sing “We are the World.” Top songs on the airwaves that year included: Like a Virgin- Madonna, Don't You (Fo...

Maybe DJ Khaled and Drake said it best: “No New Friends.” Applied to the current Billboard 200, the phrase is best attributed, “no new releases” of note. That said no one is shocked to hear that the invincible Taylor Swift rules the charts for an eighth non-consecutive week. Even with units and sales alike down from the previous week, 1989 still stood tall, selling 172,000 copies.

Swift was unopposed at the top spot, with the next closest album in sales (Guardians of the Galaxy Soundtrack) and impact (Nicki Minaj’s The Pinkprint) not coming anywhere close. 172,000 versus 70,000 copies ...

2014 is all about trying new things, personally and professionally – or something like that. And yes, it is love – for the most part!
